?i?From reserch of Ann J Mourant: Only one Francois Romeril was found as follows:
"Fancois son of Jean Romeril and Rachel LeCornu his wife was presented to the St. Baptisem by Francois Vand and by Anne Romeril his wife the 29 dec. 1779"
Francis Sr. was born, or at least christened in the early parrish Dec. 29, 1779, to Jean Romeril and Rachel Le Cornu, at St. Laurence, Jersey, Channel Islands. We do not know anything about him except that he had a child from Jeanne Hotton, who was their only child, Francis. There is no record of their marriage. Jeanne was christened on 17 Dec. 1775. It is said that Francis was drowned at sea in 1799 or early 1800. Jeanne was then involved with three other men and had other children.?/i?
