This home became the residence of his brother John when Francis went to St. John, and later the home of Alexander Rankin Ferguson (son of Francis). It was totally destroyed by fire in 1877 and all the old Ferguson family papers were lost. Francis lived the remainder of his life in St. John at 144 Prince William Street.
