?i?Loved to swim in clear rivers and climb various mountains. Voted the one most likely to succeed by graduating class of 1964. - Kooskia-Stites High School

Slowed by serious illness but patient with faith and hope, Mary married her husband, James Allen Alger Oct 13, 1967. Although the sunshine to her life and joy to her happiness, the husband refused to accept marriage. The divorce is shrouded in painful memories that last as forever as love does.

Struggling against dying on the vine, struggling against heartbreak and depression and despair, Mary was blessed with overwhelming illnesses so that she could raise and nurture her two children.

Sometimes the illness was nigh to death, but the natural struggle to live kept sanity. The children came to the bedside and learned to do necessary chores of cooking and cleaning. Necessities were gleaned slowly or provided by numerous miracles.

Finally, the mind and the body began to heal. Mary went to school while recovering. She graduated from Brigham young University - BA for Special Education (1989), but health is still holding away gainful employment
